Norb Rascher made his mark at Latin as an excellent quarterback during his junior and senior years. As a junior, the team was 6-3 and tied for second in the East Senate. However, in his senior year the team, under coach Fred George, went 10-0-1. They won the East Senate title and went to the City Championship game and beat St. Ignatius 12-6 and were rated third in the state.His passing and signal calling helped him to be selected on the All-Scholastic teams of both the Cleveland newspapers and the Universe Bulletin All-Catholic team, as well as the All-East Senate team. His outstanding performance against Warren Harding in the 16-16 tie in which he passed for a 75-yard touchdown and scored another winning him "Back of the Week" honors. Norb also participated in basketball during his junior and senior years. As a sophomore the JV basketball team won the East Senate title.
