Bill Hallal was an outstanding running back on the 1971 and 1972 football teams that returned the winning tradition to Latin with back-to-back winning seasons. Bill joins teammates Jim "Dubber" Ward, Jim Weiler, and Gary Jeter in the Hall of Fame. Bill was the third leading scorer on this team, ranked second in rushing and was the leading kickoff returner with a 21.4 yard average. The Latin football teams of 1971 and 1972 had 22 young gentlemen receive scholarships to major colleges. Bill received his degree from Ohio University in 1977.
